Virtual Week has disconnected!
Good Afternoon,
We have made it to the end of a full week of virtual learning! Was it easy? No. Did we persevere? Absolutely! From the wifi not connecting to the Chromebook microphones not working, and everything in between; we persevered and were able to learn throughout the way. There are two clear things that I will remember from this past week: #1. The graciousness and patience all of you displayed for both myself and child, 2. How much closer our class came together. You learn to appreciate things just a little more when they are taken away, and that is something our class went through together, and we are coming out of it even stronger, and more together!
Week in Review:
Math: We began to learn our subtraction strategies within 3 digit numbers. We persevered through what felt like some long, grueling learning days!
Writing: Writers finished up realistic fiction stories, started working on entries in our writers notebooks, and even got to experience some Sacred Writing Time!
Reading: As a class we discussed strategies to take on complex texts, what it takes to have reading grit, and continuing to push our reading volume!
Week Ahead:
A much anticipated return to the classroom on Monday!!
Thanks again for your continued support in your child's learning journey this year!
Have a great weekend!
Mr. VW
