Good Afternoon, As I was writing that title I still find it hard to believe that in a couple of weeks we will be turning the calendar to another year. We have talked as a class as the calendar in December has moved along to try and make the most out of every single day. Planning and goal setting have been topics of conversations as to how we could make sure no matter what we were working on at that moment or subject we were learning about, to try and set a personal goal to make sure that we are ending the calendar year on a strong, positive note to build momentum to 2022. I feel the students have been working really hard, and pushing themselves to continue to grow as we head into the final school days of 2021. Halftime of December School Days

Good Afternoon, This past week has been a week where I was extremely thankful to be able to come into school, and see students that were filled with joy, curiosity, and make the classroom feel like a second home. The students had a substitute teacher yesterday as I was out for a family funeral, but it made me realize the daily joy they bring to me as we all work daily to try and grow both socially and academically. I wanted to just say thank you for your continued support this school year, and I am looking forward to ending the calendar year with great momentum that will help lead students to continued success after the new year. Week in Review: Writing: Writers have been developing opinions that they are supporting with various reasons and examples to make them as strong as possible. We will continue this work to try and make a change in our world with the power we have with our writing. Math: Students are wrapping up our unit working with multiplication and division concepts, and wi...

Good Afternoon, I hope everyone was able to spend time with family and friends over break.  It was a great week back in the classroom as the students have done a great job because we transitioned back with multiple different units starting, and they truly hit the ground running. I know it feels like the year is flying by as the calendar has already switched over to December, but always remember to take time to reflect on the daily growth that's being made because it's special to see how far the students grow in their learning journeys. Week in Review: Writing: Writers began the week in their new unit, Changing the World, which is all about opinion writing and persuasive speeches. We began with Day 0 which allowed us to learn from kids the same age as them that have given powerful speeches to learn the impact that our writing can have. Writers then ended the week writing some of the opinions they have giving reasons and examples for the thesis they came up! Math: Our mathemati...
