10 Weeks of Connected Learning!

 Good Afternoon,

It has been a great week of virtual learning, and I say that because of how resilient the students are everyday. They continue to show up every day ready, and eager to learn; it truly is a testament to the all of you, so thank you for your continued support, and investment in your child's learning!

The link for conferences can be found here. Again, if there is a time or day that doesn't work for you, please let me know and we can get something scheduled that works best for your schedule.

If you could please take some time before conferences, and fill out this conference survey. This will help me best meet the needs or concerns you have so we can make the best use of our conference time together.

Week in Review:

Math: This week we worked really hard with concepts around multiplication and division with 3 and 4, as well as working with determining area. I have been so impressed with the students determination working through these concepts, and growing in the area of math!

Writing: Students are beginning to wrap up their first drafts and revisions of their informational books. We have a wide range of topics which shows just how many experts we have in our classroom!

Reading: We have been discovering how to read narrative nonfiction books well, and have learned we can use the same skills and strategies we have for reading fiction for these types of books as well!

A Look Ahead:

Our Class Picture Day is TBD. We are working with the company to get another date planned.

We have a student who will be joining our class Monday from virtual learning, Bryce Rekowski! If you know the family, please feel free to reach out and let them know how excited we are for him to be joining our classroom community!

Thursday, November 12th: Return to in person learning at School Day.

Thursday, November 12th: Virtual Conferences/Book Fair

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Mr. VW
